How it works.

The whole thing, start to finish. Spoiler: it’s pretty painless.

  1. Step 1: Text a few photos

Snap the kitchen and send it to Sol on WhatsApp or text. No forms, no appointment. A few pictures tell us most of what we need.

    • A wide shot of the kitchen
    • The spot where you want the new sink
    • The cabinet under that spot, doors open
    • The basement or crawl space under the kitchen, if there is one
  2. Step 2: Sol stops by

He checks out the stone, figures out how the pipes will get there, and talks sinks and faucets with you.

    • We look from below too, if there’s a basement
    • You get a written quote for the whole job
    • Anything tricky gets flagged now, not on install day
    • No pressure. Think it over and get back to us.
  3. Step 3: Install day

We show up, cover everything, and get to work. Most installs are done in a single visit.

    • Floors and cabinets covered before any cutting
    • The opening cut and polished right on your counter
    • New lines, drain and vent run and connected
    • Sink mounted and sealed, faucet set
  4. Step 4: Water on

We run it, check every joint, and walk you through it. Then we clean up and get out of your way.

    • Leak check on every connection
    • Inspection set up, if your town needs one
    • Kitchen left the way we found it, plus a sink

What goes on under the counter.

A second sink needs three things underneath: water in, water out, and a little air so it drains properly. Here’s where it all goes.

See where the sink can go

Cutaway of the cabinet under a new sink: the stone is cut and polished, the sink is mounted under it, hot and cold lines feed the faucet, and the trap and drain run down through the floor with a vent.FaucetStone cut and polishedSink mountedVentTrap and drainHot and cold linesDown to your main lineBasement

The photos that help most.

Phone pics are perfect. More is better, and a little blurry is fine.

  • The whole kitchenFrom the doorway, so we can see the layout.
  • The spot you wantWhere the new sink would go.
  • Under that spotOpen the cabinet or drawers below it.
  • Under your current sinkDoors open, so we can see the pipes.
  • Below the kitchenThe basement ceiling or crawl space, if you can get there.
  • Your sink and faucetAlready picked them? Send the model.

A few things to decide.

Nothing complicated. It just helps to know before we cut.

The sink

Single bowl is the usual pick for a second sink. Want it to match your first one? Send us the model and we’ll match it or get close.

The faucet

Any faucet you like. If it needs more than one hole, tell us before we cut so we drill the right number.

The spot

Where it goes, and how far it is from your first sink. We’ll show you what your kitchen allows.

Any extras

Thinking about a second dishwasher or a disposal? Mention it early so we can plan it in with the sink.

Getting the kitchen ready.

Five minutes the night before and we’re good to go.

  • Clear the counters near the new spot and around your current sink.
  • Empty the cabinet or drawers under the new spot.
  • Empty the cabinet under your current sink.
  • Leave a clear path from the door to the kitchen.
  • Keep the kids and pets out of the kitchen while we cut.

Send Sol a pic of your kitchen.

A couple of photos on WhatsApp or text is usually all it takes to get the ball rolling. No visit needed to start.
