Questions, answered.

The straight answers. If yours isn’t here, WhatsApp or text Sol at (917) 213-2744. He’s heard them all.

The countertop

Do I need a new countertop?

Nope. We cut the new opening into the countertop you’ve got, right where it sits, and polish the edge to match. It never leaves your kitchen.

What kinds of countertops can you cut?

Granite, quartz, marble and quartzite. Not sure what yours is? Send a photo and we’ll tell you.

Will it look like it was added later?

That’s the idea, it won’t. The cut edge gets polished to match the rest of the counter, so once the sink’s in, it looks like it was always there.

Is it messy?

Cutting stone makes some dust, so we plan for it. Floors, cabinets and nearby counters get covered before we start, and we clean up before we leave.

The plumbing

Where does the new drain go?

It ties into your existing drain line. For an island, that usually means straight down through the floor into the basement or crawl space.

What if there’s no basement under the kitchen?

A basement or crawl space keeps it simple. On a slab there’s more to it. We’ll take a look during the visit and tell you straight what it takes before you commit to anything.

Do I need a permit?

Plenty of towns want one for new plumbing. If yours does, we file it and handle the inspection. You don’t have to call anybody.

Can you add a second dishwasher too?

Mention it when you reach out, and we’ll look at it during the visit so it can be planned together with the sink.

Price and timing

What does it cost?

Depends on the stone, the spot and how the pipes get there. Text Sol a few photos and he can usually give you a ballpark. After the visit you get a written quote for the whole job.

How long does it take?

Usually a single visit. An island on a slab, or a spot that needs cabinet work, can take longer. You’ll know from the quote, not on the day.

Can you get it done before Pesach?

Usually, if you reach out early. The weeks before Pesach fill up fast, so don’t wait for Purim.

Where do you work?

We’re based in Lakewood and work throughout New Jersey. Text Sol your town and he’ll let you know.

Are you open on Shabbos?

No. We’re closed Shabbos and Yom Tov. Messages sent then get answered after.

Send Sol a pic of your kitchen.

A couple of photos on WhatsApp or text is usually all it takes to get the ball rolling. No visit needed to start.

Or call (917) 213-2744, or email [email protected]. Closed Shabbos and Yom Tov.
